10 Portraits for 10 Years
The outsider of Languedoc
While the winter remained very normal, the spring was rainy and cold until early May. Fortunately it did not last and the development of the vine followed a normal course, with a bit of "coulure" on the Merlot and old Grenache, though.
There was little rain then (only 20mm in June) until early August, when some rainfalls came at the exact right time, ensuring a perfect ripening of the grapes.
The harvest started on 16 August already - earlier than ever - but was of exceptional quality, the only black spot being a 30%-loss of Merlot.
